Terms of Service
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Datacircle ("Datacircle", "we", "us") when you use datacircle.dev, the Datacircle API at api.datacircle.dev, its MCP server, its docs and the files it gives you (together, "the Service"). By signing up or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use it for a company, you agree for that company.
What Datacircle is
Datacircle is a data co-op. Step 1: Query your favorite B2B data APIs through us. Same request, same price, no markup. Step 2: You're DONE. Every morning, you get the flat file of your data plus everyone else's.
You send the provider's own request to api.datacircle.dev, with your Datacircle key. That's the only change. Datacircle sends it to the provider, and you get the provider's answer. Each call costs what that provider charges us for it, nothing added. The providers and their prices are on the pricing page.
Your account and your API key
- You sign up with your email address and get an API key. Use a real address you can read: it is how you sign in.
- Your API key is your password for the API. Keep it secret. Every call made with it is charged to your workspace, whoever makes it. If it leaks, reset it from your dashboard, and tell us.
- One person or company, one account. Don't make extra accounts to collect more signup credits or to get around a limit.
Your balance
- Your balance is what your workspace can spend, in dollars. It holds the funds you add and the credits Datacircle gives. How each works, what each call costs and the order they are spent in are on the balance and pricing pages; those pages are part of these terms.
- Funds are added through Stripe and land in your balance once Stripe confirms the payment. They are for spending on calls; they never expire.
- Credits are a gift: they have no cash value, and a temporary credit is gone when it expires.
- Prices follow the providers' prices. When one changes, the pricing page says so, and the new price applies to calls made after the change.
- If a call was charged by mistake, tell us: we put it back on your balance. To ask for a refund of funds you haven't spent, write to us.
The co-op: what is shared
Datacircle stores every answer a provider gives through it. Every public LinkedIn profile anyone fetches through Datacircle goes into the flat file that workspaces unlock, as the files page says. A stored answer never answers your call: each request goes to the provider and gets the profile as it is today. Who asked for a profile is not part of what is shared. If you don't want a profile you fetch to be shared, don't fetch it through Datacircle.
The data and the files
- The data comes from the providers and from public sources. We don't check it and don't promise that it is accurate, complete or current.
- The answers, the flat file and the free datasets are for you and your business to use. Don't resell or republish them as they are, as a dataset or a competing data service, unless a file comes with a license of its own that allows it.
- Much of the data is about people. You are responsible for using it lawfully: privacy laws (such as GDPR and the CCPA where they apply), anti-spam laws (such as CAN-SPAM), and the rules of any platform you contact people on. Honor every request to opt out or to be deleted.
- Never use the data to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing, or for any purpose the Fair Credit Reporting Act covers. Never use it to harass, stalk or discriminate against anyone.
Using the Service fairly
Don't:
- get around a limit, a price or a check of the Service, or call it in a way meant to make it fail;
- share or sell access to your API key, or resell the API itself;
- try to reach another customer's data, or Datacircle's systems beyond what the docs show;
- use the Service for anything illegal.
The providers have their own terms, and they can refuse a call, limit it, or stop working with us. When a provider is down or refuses, Datacircle says so in its answer and doesn't charge you for that call.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
The Service as it is
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work to keep it up, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
To the extent the law allows, Datacircle is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending
You can stop using the Service at any time. To close your account and have your personal data deleted, write to us (our privacy policy says what we keep and why).
Changes
We may change these terms. The new version is published on this page with its date, and using the Service after a change means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
