How we tested

On 3 November 2026, we sent 4 providers the same list of 20 prompts. Each plan's Overall score adds five parts at their weights, scaled to 100. Price and Accuracy weigh 40 each, and Cost to get started, Bundle and Performance weigh 10 each. We score all 4 providers and rank them by their top plan's Overall score.

The Accuracy score on Google AI Overview scraper APIs

We score each provider's call out of 100 on how much of Google's AI Overview the call returns. We give the call one prompt at a time, from the United States. One prompt is "What are the best GitHub user repository APIs?". We look for five parts: the text, the cited pages, the web searches, the ads and the products. We leave out a part, like ads, when no answer has any. Google gives a new AI Overview each time you ask. The words change, so we compare lists, such as the cited pages. We compare each list with the longest list on the same prompt. We average the scores over all prompts. Each prompt counts the same. A prompt with no answer counts as 0. We compare a provider that ran on fewer prompts with the other providers on those same prompts. A provider can't score higher by running only on easy prompts. We lower the score when we test the call on fewer prompts than the benchmark has.
