The Data score on GitHub repository APIs

This score, out of 100, shows how much of a repository's record a provider's call returns. We ask for each public repository by its owner and name. A provider that takes the repository's GitHub address gets the address in place of the owner and name. We compare the providers' answers. For each repository, we count the parts the answer held, such as the stars and the license. We divide that count by the number of parts any provider's answer held for that repository. We don't count a provider's value when two other providers agree on a different value. We skip a provider's 0 when two other providers give a count above 0. A live repository changes between calls. We don't check a count above 0, the last push, the update time, the languages or the recent commits against the other providers' answers. When we compare a provider with the others, a provider with two calls counts as one provider. We leave out a part we can work out from the owner and the name, such as the repository's web address. We leave out a part that is the same on every repository we called. We average each repository's share over all repositories. Each repository counts the same. A repository the call didn't find counts as 0. We compare a provider that ran on fewer repositories with the other providers on those same repositories. A provider can't score higher by running only on easy repositories. We lower the score when we test the call on fewer repositories than the benchmark has.
