Linked API alternative: LinkedIn profiles by URL, without a LinkedIn account

Linked API works through LinkedIn accounts. You connect yours, and its fetchPerson call opens a profile by its URL in a cloud browser on that account. On its pricing page, one seat is one LinkedIn account, at $69 a month, or $49 a month billed yearly. Linked API sets no usage cap of its own, but its guide to LinkedIn's limits says a free LinkedIn account can view about 80 profiles a day.

Through Datacircle, you get a LinkedIn profile in one call. You send the profile's URL with your Datacircle key: no LinkedIn login, no cookies, no browser.

Right now we have 3 live LinkedIn profile APIs that we trust: Up2Data, HarvestAPI and Fetchin. You send the provider's own request to api.datacircle.dev, with your Datacircle key. That's the only change. $2.375 per 1,000 through Up2Data (a profile it can't find is free), $3.70 per 1,000 through HarvestAPI. $1.485 per 1,000 through Fetchin, a profile it can't find billed the same. HarvestAPI bills a profile it can't find at $2.30 per 1,000.

Linked API's prices, per seat

Linked API bills each seat by the month or by the year, and one seat is one LinkedIn account. In October 2026, its pricing page listed these prices, in dollars:

Linked API's prices, October 2026
PlanBilled monthlyBilled yearlyYearly, per month
Core$69 a seat a month$588 a seat a year$49
Plus$99 a seat a month$888 a seat a year$74

You save 29% on Core by paying yearly, the page says, and 25% on Plus by our math. Both plans list "Unlimited workflow execution", and Plus adds Sales Navigator actions. You get a 7-day free trial first. You contact Linked API for volume discounts. It invoices yearly plans of 5 seats or more.

The profiles a Linked API seat can view

Linked API charges nothing per profile, so a seat's price per 1,000 depends on how many profiles one LinkedIn account can view. Linked API's guide bases these numbers on user reports, and says LinkedIn publishes no official limits. For a month, we multiply the guide's daily number by 30 days.

A Linked API seat's profiles a month, and Core's price per 1,000, October 2026
LinkedIn accountProfile views a dayIn a monthCore per 1,000, billed monthlyCore per 1,000, billed yearly
a free LinkedIn accountabout 802,400$28.75$20.42
LinkedIn Premiumabout 1504,500$15.33$10.89

The guide puts Sales Navigator and Recruiter at 1,000 a day, but only inside their own interfaces. Linked API's Sales Navigator call, on Plus, returns a person's basic information. Linked API lets you cap profile views for each account by day, week or month. Past the cap, Linked API returns an error instead of viewing the profile.

Per 1,000 profiles, our $1.485 through Fetchin is less than Linked API's lowest here, $10.89. LinkedIn bills Premium itself, and we leave its cost out of these prices.

The cost of a month of LinkedIn profiles

For Linked API, we count one Core seat, and so one LinkedIn account, for each 80 profiles a day on free LinkedIn accounts. For Datacircle, we count our lowest price: Fetchin for every profile, at $1.485 per 1,000, with no daily limit.

100,00042$2,898.00$2,058.00$148.50

The same volumes on LinkedIn Premium accounts, at about 150 profiles a day each:

1,0001$69.00$49.00$1.485

100,00023$1,587.00$1,127.00$148.50

We left the free trials out of the tables: Linked API's 7 days and our $5 credit. At each volume in these tables, we cost less than Linked API, including Core billed yearly on Premium accounts. With Linked API, you need 42 free LinkedIn accounts, each connected and in use, for 100,000 profiles a month.

How a request works on Linked API and on Datacircle

Linked API runs each request as a workflow on one of your LinkedIn accounts. You send it, with your Linked API token and the account's token, then ask for its result by the workflow's id, or wait for a webhook. Its docs give this workflow for a person's experience and education:

curl -X POST "https://api.linkedapi.io/workflows" \
  -H "linked-api-token: $LINKED_API_TOKEN" \
  -H "identification-token: $IDENTIFICATION_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"actionType": "st.openPersonPage", "personUrl": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/person1", "basicInfo": false,
       "then": [{"actionType": "st.retrievePersonExperience"}, {"actionType": "st.retrievePersonEducation"}]}'

Its docs say an account runs its workflows one at a time, and their example puts one workflow at about 30 to 60 seconds. An account can have working hours: a workflow you send outside them waits, which can mean the next working day, and fails after 7 days of waiting.

Through us, you send Up2Data's request with your Datacircle key:

curl -X POST "https://api.datacircle.dev/v1/profiles/enrich" \
  -H "Authorization: Token $DATACIRCLE_API_KEY" \
  -H "X-Data-Provider: up2data" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"url": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates"}'

Or HarvestAPI's, at $3.70 per 1,000, with no daily limit:

curl "https://api.datacircle.dev/linkedin/profile?url=https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates" \
  -H "Authorization: Token $DATACIRCLE_API_KEY" \
  -H "X-Data-Provider: harvestapi"

Or Fetchin's, at $1.485 per 1,000, with no daily limit. Fetchin charges the same for a profile it can't find:

curl "https://api.datacircle.dev/api/v1/profile?profileUrlOrUrn=https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates" \
  -H "Authorization: Token $DATACIRCLE_API_KEY" \
  -H "X-Data-Provider: fetchin"

Each call returns one profile, with its job history and schools. Every answer carries datacircle_meta: which provider answered, what the call cost, your balance after it. Our docs' LinkedIn Profile API page has all three providers' requests and answers, field by field. Run the same call over a CSV in Python or Node.js.

Our MCP server needs no code. Use it from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor: add api.datacircle.dev/mcp as an MCP server.

Linked API features Datacircle lacks

  • Acting on LinkedIn as your account: messages, invitations, posts, comments and reactions, with your inbox in sync.
  • LinkedIn search for people, companies, jobs and posts, and company pages with their posts.
  • A person's own posts, comments and reactions, on the same profile call.
  • Sales Navigator actions, on Plus.

To act on LinkedIn through your own accounts, use Linked API. If you need profiles by URL through Fetchin or HarvestAPI, any number a day, with no account to connect and no seat to buy, use Datacircle.

The data co-op

Datacircle is a data co-op. Step 1: Query your favorite B2B data APIs through us. Same request, same price, no markup. Step 2: You're DONE. Every morning, you get the flat file of your data plus everyone else's. Add $50 to your account: you get $50 of API PLUS the flat file. See what's in the co-op's daily file, and compare LinkedIn profile API prices. Like Linked API, Unipile works through LinkedIn accounts: see our Unipile alternative.

Questions

How much does Linked API cost?

In October 2026, Linked API's pricing page lists Core at $69 a seat a month, or $588 a year ($49 a month). Plus costs $99, or $888 a year ($74 a month), and adds Sales Navigator actions. One seat is one LinkedIn account. Linked API sets no usage cap of its own and offers a 7-day free trial.

How many LinkedIn profiles can Linked API fetch a day?

As many as the seat's LinkedIn account can view. Linked API's guide to LinkedIn's limits says a free LinkedIn account can view about 80 profiles a day, and LinkedIn Premium about 150. In the guide's words, LinkedIn doesn't publish official limits. You set your own limits in Linked API, and Linked API returns an error once an action passes its limit.

Is Linked API cheaper than Datacircle?

Not per profile. With one seat for each 80 profiles a day, Core costs $28.75 per 1,000 if you pay monthly and $20.42 if you pay yearly. On LinkedIn Premium, at about 150 a day, Core costs $15.33 paid monthly and $10.89 paid yearly. Through Datacircle, the lowest is $1.485 per 1,000 through Fetchin, and you need no LinkedIn account.

Do I need a LinkedIn account?

No. You send the profile's URL with your Datacircle key: no LinkedIn login, no cookies, no browser.

Is each request live, or cached?

Live. Each request goes to the provider and gets the profile as it is today.

Is there a daily limit?

Up2Data takes $1 a day per account (421 profiles), with a shared daily limit for all customers, then answers 429 until 00:00 UTC. HarvestAPI has no daily limit. Fetchin has no daily limit either.

Is there a subscription?

No. You add funds to your balance and pay per call. Funds never expire.
