ScrapIn alternative: the live LinkedIn profile, without credits that expire
ScrapIn has joined Reverse Contact, and its API keeps running. On Reverse Contact's pricing page, a profile by URL is 1 credit from its database and 2 credits fetched live. Its credit packs run from $100 to $5,000 and are valid for 3 months: a live profile comes to $40.00 per 1,000 with the smallest, $10.00 with the largest.
Datacircle has no packs and no plan. You add funds to a balance, from $5, and each LinkedIn profile costs the provider's own price: $1.25 per 1,000 through Up2Data, a profile it can't find free, and $3.70 through HarvestAPI. Live. Each request goes to the provider and gets the profile as it is today. You send the provider's own request to api.datacircle.dev, with your Datacircle key. That's the only change.
Its credit packs, per 1,000 profiles
Every pack Reverse Contact's pricing page offers in October 2026, its credits spent on profiles alone: 1 credit each from its database (/fetch/*), 2 each live (/fetch/*/live).
| Pack | Price | From its database, per 1,000 | Live, per 1,000 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5K credits | $100 | $20.00 | $40.00 |
| 15K credits | $250 | $16.67 | $33.33 |
| 40K credits | $500 | $12.50 | $25.00 |
| 60K credits | $700 | $11.67 | $23.33 |
| 80K credits | $900 | $11.25 | $22.50 |
| 100K credits | $1,000 | $10.00 | $20.00 |
| 150K credits | $1,400 | $9.33 | $18.67 |
| 200K credits | $1,800 | $9.00 | $18.00 |
| 300K credits | $2,500 | $8.33 | $16.67 |
| 400K credits | $3,000 | $7.50 | $15.00 |
| 500K credits | $3,500 | $7.00 | $14.00 |
| 600K credits | $4,000 | $6.67 | $13.33 |
| 750K credits | $4,500 | $6.00 | $12.00 |
| 1M credits | $5,000 | $5.00 | $10.00 |
A pack is valid for 3 months: what isn't used by then expires. A new account gets 100 credits, no card. ScrapIn's own page sells a $30 trial of 7 days, or pay-as-you-go credits from $500, valid 12 months, without saying how many a profile takes.
Through Datacircle: $1.25 per 1,000 through Up2Data, $3.70 through HarvestAPI, every one live, with no plan. Funds never expire. Up2Data takes $1 a day per account (800 profiles), with a shared daily limit for all customers, then answers 429 until 00:00 UTC; HarvestAPI has no daily limit. Sign up at datacircle.dev with your work email: a $5 credit, that's 4,000 LinkedIn profiles at $1.25 per 1,000.
What a month of profiles costs
Reverse Contact's cheapest packs that hold each month's profiles, live and from its database (or Go, when it costs less), and Datacircle at its least: Up2Data for 800 profiles a day, 24,000 in a 30-day month, and HarvestAPI past them, every one live.
| Profiles a month | Reverse Contact, live | Reverse Contact, from its database | Datacircle, Up2Data then HarvestAPI |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | $100 (5K pack) | $100 (5K pack) | $1.25 |
| 10,000 | $350 (15K + 5K packs) | $200 (5K + 5K packs) | $12.50 |
| 100,000 | $1,800 (200K pack) | $249 (Go) | $311.20 |
A pack is bought whole, and what a month doesn't use of it expires 3 months after it was bought. On Datacircle, a month without calls costs nothing, and the balance waits.
Where Reverse Contact costs less
Its monthly plans make its database unlimited, for your own team's use: Go, $249 a month, unlimited profiles and companies from its database by URL (/fetch/*), MCP and CLI; Plus, $449 a month, Go's, and unlimited people and company search (/search/*); Max, $699 a month, Plus's, and unlimited enrichment from an email, a name or a domain (/enrich/*). Past 83,190 profiles a month, Go's $249 costs less than Datacircle at its least. Those are stored profiles, not live ones: a live refresh is 2 credits on every plan. Building its data into a product you sell, or reselling it, is its Platform contract, from $2,500 a month on an annual contract, the page says.
The same profile, one call
On Reverse Contact, its docs say, a profile from its database is a POST to api.reversecontact.com/v2/fetch/persons with the profile's url in a JSON body and your key as a Bearer token. A live one is a POST to /v2/fetch/persons/live: it answers a webhookId, and you poll /v2/webhooks/{webhookId} until its status is succeeded.
Through Datacircle, the live profile is in the answer to one request, Up2Data's own, with your Datacircle key:
curl -X POST "https://api.datacircle.dev/v1/profiles/enrich" \
-H "Authorization: Token $DATACIRCLE_API_KEY" \
-H "X-Data-Provider: up2data" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"url": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates"}'Or HarvestAPI's, at $3.70 per 1,000, with no daily limit:
curl "https://api.datacircle.dev/linkedin/profile?url=https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates" \
-H "Authorization: Token $DATACIRCLE_API_KEY" \
-H "X-Data-Provider: harvestapi"Every answer carries datacircle_meta: which provider answered, what the call cost, your balance after it. A profile Up2Data can't find is free; on Reverse Contact, a 4xx or 5xx costs nothing except a 404, which depends on the endpoint, and a live call's 404 is refunded. Both providers' requests and answers, field by field: LinkedIn Profile API in the docs. A whole CSV: get LinkedIn profile data with Python. Or without code: Use it from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor: add api.datacircle.dev/mcp as an MCP server.
What Reverse Contact does that Datacircle doesn't
- Company profiles by URL, from the same credits or plans.
- People and company search, a search in plain words and lookalikes of a profile you give it.
- A profile from an email, a name or a company domain: its reverse lookup.
- A business email for 3 credits and a direct phone number for 20, charged only when it finds one.
- Webhooks, a CSV upload in its app, a free check of when a profile was last updated, and a confidence score on each match.
If you start from emails or names, or search for people, that's what Reverse Contact is built for. If you have LinkedIn URLs and want each profile as it is today, at the provider's own price, from a balance that never expires, that's Datacircle.

Questions
What happened to ScrapIn?
ScrapIn has joined Reverse Contact, its own pricing page says, and "Your API keeps running." That page sells a $30 7-day trial and pay-as-you-go credits from $500, without saying how many credits a profile takes. Reverse Contact's pricing page gives the rest: 1 credit a profile from its database, 2 for a live one (October 2026).
Is there a cheaper alternative to ScrapIn for LinkedIn profiles?
Through Datacircle, a LinkedIn profile by URL is $1.25 per 1,000 through Up2Data, a profile it can't find free, and $3.70 through HarvestAPI, each request live, with no plan. Reverse Contact's live profile is 2 credits: $40.00 per 1,000 with its smallest pack, $10.00 with its largest, $5,000 (October 2026).
Do Reverse Contact's credits expire?
Its packs and plan credits are valid for 3 months, 12 on its Platform contract, its pricing page says. No. You add funds to your balance and pay per call; funds never expire.
Is there a daily limit?
Up2Data takes $1 a day per account (800 profiles), with a shared daily limit for all customers, then answers 429 until 00:00 UTC; HarvestAPI has no daily limit.
Is each request live, or cached?
Live. Each request goes to the provider and gets the profile as it is today.
