Clearbit alternative: company data by domain, as a free file
Clearbit turned a company's domain into its name, industry, size and location. Today it sells no new standalone subscription: its help center sends new customers to HubSpot's Breeze Intelligence, which enriches the records inside HubSpot. If your companies are U.S. ones and sit in a spreadsheet, a database or another CRM, you can look them up another way.
Free: 10M+ U.S. B2B leads, as a flat file. Download it at datacircle.dev. Its 1,748,139 companies include 1,322,184 distinct website domains, each with the company's name, LinkedIn page and employee range, and 95% with its industry. Below, what changed at Clearbit, what HubSpot gives instead, and Clearbit's lookups as one query on the file, each run on it.

What HubSpot gives instead
From HubSpot's knowledge base, Get started with data enrichment (updated July 10, 2026): data enrichment comes with a Starter, Professional or Enterprise subscription to Marketing, Sales, Service, Data or Content Hub, and “does not consume HubSpot Credits”. A company is enriched from its domain, a contact from a first name, last name and work email, and the values go into HubSpot's records, by hand, in bulk or automatically for new records.
| HubSpot data enrichment | Datacircle's free file | |
|---|---|---|
| Who gets it | a paid HubSpot hub, Starter or above | anyone who signs up with a work email |
| A company from | its domain | its domain, a website, a list of either, or its name |
| Where the data goes | HubSpot's company and contact records | a CSV: a spreadsheet, a database, any CRM's import |
| Companies | HubSpot's commercial dataset, third-party providers and the public web | 1,748,139 U.S. companies of 11 to 500 employees (6,700,867 of every size in the 50M+) |
| Kept up to date | continuous enrichment, if you turn it on | a snapshot, the October 2026 release; the 50M+ comes anew every month |
| Cost | no credits, with the paid hub | free |
If your CRM is HubSpot and you pay for a hub, its enrichment is the simpler way. The file is for everything outside it.

They have 1,322,184 distinct domains, and 1,280,516 of them (97%) belong to one company only. A domain shared by several LinkedIn pages, a group and the companies it bought, or a franchise, answers each of them, and a social page given as a website (a Facebook or Instagram URL) matches every company that gave one. Every column, with its fill rate: the free US B2B leads dataset.
50M+ U.S. B2B: 43.6M people and 6.7M companies in one 9.6 GB zip, a new one every month. Its companies: 6,700,867, 5,150,239 with a website, 4,792,013 distinct domains. Add $50 to your account: you get $50 of API PLUS the flat file. Or invite 3 people who sign up.
Clearbit's lookups, as one query on the file
Unzip the free file into us_10m/ and pip install duckdb. Each query below ran on the October 2026 file, on a laptop, in under a second. First, the companies with their domain:
import duckdb
# Each company, with its domain: the website's host, without www.
duckdb.sql("""
create view companies as
select *, lower(regexp_extract(URL, '^(?:https?://)?(?:www[.])?([^/:?#]+)', 1)) as DOMAIN
from 'us_10m/us_smb_mid_market_companies.parquet'
""")One company from its domain, as Clearbit's Company API answered:
# One company from its domain
duckdb.sql("""
select NAME, LINKEDIN_INDUSTRY, EMPLOYEE_COUNT_RANGE, FOUNDED, HQ_CITY, HQ_STATE_CODE, LINKEDIN_URL, LOGO_URL
from companies
where DOMAIN = 'acme.com'
""").show()LOGO_URL links to the company's logo on LinkedIn, where Clearbit's Logo API gave one from the domain. A company with no logo there has LinkedIn's placeholder.
A whole list of domains, written to a CSV. A row of yours that the file doesn't hold stays in it, with the company's columns empty, and a website pasted whole (https://www.acme.com/about) is cut down to its domain:
# domains.csv: your list, one domain or website a line under a "domain" header
duckdb.sql("""
copy (
select d.domain, c.NAME, c.LINKEDIN_INDUSTRY, c.EMPLOYEE_COUNT_RANGE, c.FOUNDED, c.HQ_CITY, c.HQ_STATE_CODE, c.LINKEDIN_URL, c.LOGO_URL
from read_csv('domains.csv', header = true) d
left join companies c on c.DOMAIN = lower(regexp_extract(d.domain, '^(?:https?://)?(?:www[.])?([^/:?#]+)', 1))
) to 'companies.csv'
""")A company's domain from its name, as Clearbit's Name to Domain API did:
# A company's domain from its name
duckdb.sql("""
select NAME, DOMAIN, HQ_CITY, HQ_STATE_CODE, EMPLOYEE_COUNT_RANGE
from companies
where NAME ilike 'acme%'
""").show()The people who work there, with their emails, are in the same file: Hunter.io alternative gives that query. A list by state, industry and size: free list of US companies.
What Clearbit and HubSpot do that Datacircle doesn't
- Enrich the records where they are, in HubSpot, and keep them up to date there.
- Enrich a contact from a name and a work email.
- Buyer intent, and the companies visiting your website.
- Look up companies beyond a file: the free one holds U.S. companies of 11 to 500 employees only, the 50M+ one U.S. companies of every size.
Datacircle sells data, not a CRM. Its API answers the LinkedIn profile behind a URL, the person's whole profile, at $0.00125 a profile found: LinkedIn profile API. The company data is in the file, on your dashboard once you sign up with your work email, with the $5 credit and your API key.
Questions
Is Clearbit still available?
Not to new customers. Clearbit's help center says it no longer offers new standalone Clearbit subscriptions, creates no free accounts, and recommends HubSpot's Breeze Intelligence instead. Its free platform, Clearbit Connect and the free Name to Domain API ended on April 30, 2025, and its Logo API on December 1, 2025.
Is there a free Clearbit alternative?
For U.S. companies, a file instead of an API. Free: 10M+ U.S. B2B leads, as a flat file. Download it at datacircle.dev. Its 1,748,139 companies include 1,322,184 distinct website domains, each with the company's name, LinkedIn page and employee range, and its industry and headquarters where the file has them. One query looks up a domain, a list of domains or a name.
Does HubSpot's data enrichment cost credits?
No, says HubSpot's knowledge base: data enrichment doesn't consume HubSpot Credits; smart properties do. It comes with a Starter, Professional or Enterprise subscription to Marketing, Sales, Service, Data or Content Hub, and enriches a company from its domain, a contact from a first name, last name and work email, inside HubSpot's CRM.
Can I find a company's domain from its name, as Clearbit's Name to Domain API did?
In the free file, yes, for the 1,389,253 companies with a website: one query on the name, which gives the domain, the city and the employee range to tell two companies of the same name apart.
Does Datacircle have a company enrichment API?
No. Right now we have 2 live LinkedIn profile APIs that we trust: Up2Data and HarvestAPI. The company data is in the files: the free 10M+ one, and the 50M+ one with every company size.
