SignalHire alternative: U.S. mobile numbers and emails in one free file
SignalHire finds the email and phone behind a profile, for recruiters and sales teams, at a credit a contact: from $39 a month billed yearly ($49 monthly) for 600 email credits or 300 phone credits a month, and its unlimited plans fall under a fair usage policy of 2,000 credits a month. If the people you recruit or sell to work at U.S. companies of 11 to 500 employees, look in Datacircle's free file first: its emails and mobiles cost no credits.
Datacircle is a data co-op. Step 1: Query your favorite B2B data APIs through us. Same request, same price, no markup. Step 2: You're DONE. Every morning, you get the flat file of your data plus everyone else's.
Free: 10M+ U.S. B2B leads, as a flat file. Download it at datacircle.dev. That's 9,521,154 people and 1,748,139 U.S. companies, 4,016,020 of the people with a mobile phone and 2,790,286 with an email. The co-op's flat file is a separate file, new every morning. Below, the two side by side, from SignalHire's pricing page, its terms and its API docs on pricing, search and rate limits, read in October 2026.

What a contact costs at SignalHire
| Plan | Credits a month | Billed monthly | Per 1,000 contacts | Billed yearly, a month | Credits a year | Per 1,000, billed yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Emails | 600 | $49 | $81.67 | $39 | 7,200 | $65.00 |
| Emails | 1,000 | $69 | $69.00 | $57 | 12,000 | $57.00 |

| Phones | unlimited (2,000) | $99 | $49.50 | $83 | unlimited (24,000) | $41.50 |
Emails & Phones has the same tiers and prices as Phones: one credit for an email, a phone or both. For the second Phones tier, SignalHire's page shows 435 credits a month billed monthly but 5,400 a year billed yearly, not 5,220; both are copied as shown. The phone plans cost twice the email plans per contact at their first tier: $163.33 per 1,000 against $81.67, billed monthly. Canceling stops the next payment, and the credits left last to the end of the billing cycle, says its FAQ; its terms give no refunds.
The example search from SignalHire's API docs, run on the free file
SignalHire's Search API finds people by a Boolean job title, a place and years in the current role. Its docs' example is (Software AND Engineer) OR Developer in New York. The results come without contacts, count against a daily quota, and each contact then costs a credit. The free file gives each person their title, city and state, and, when their profile shows it, the month their current job started. It downloads as one zip of two Parquet files: unzip it into us_10m/, pip install duckdb, and:
import duckdb
duckdb.sql("create view people as select * from 'us_10m/us_smb_mid_market_persons.parquet'")
duckdb.sql("create view companies as select * from 'us_10m/us_smb_mid_market_companies.parquet'")
# SignalHire's own example search, (Software AND Engineer) OR Developer, minus business, real estate and course developers
duckdb.sql(r"""

and not regexp_matches(title, '\b(business|real estate|property|land|curriculum|course|instructional) developer\b', 'i')
""")# Software engineers and developers by city, with how many have a mobile and an email
duckdb.sql("""

All told, 104,545 software engineers and developers at 48,754 companies in 7,481 cities: 43,534 with a mobile, 46,258 with an email, 65,187 with one or the other. At SignalHire, that's 65,187 credits if it found them all: 33 months of an unlimited plan at 2,000 a month. Next, the New York developers in their job two years or more, like SignalHire's years-in-role filter:
# New York's, in their current job since October 2024 or before, with a mobile or an email, to a CSV
duckdb.sql("""

""")Of New York's 3,907, 3,176 have a start date and 2,052 started in October 2024 or before. The CSV gets the 1,301 of them with a mobile or an email, at 1,133 companies: 720 with a mobile, 1,020 with an email, 439 with both. 421 are at companies of 11 to 50 employees, 561 at 51 to 200 and 319 at 201 to 500, and the most common titles are Software Engineer (427), Senior Software Engineer (172) and Software Developer (83). Change 'New York' for another city, or the title in the macro for another job. Before you email or call, follow CAN-SPAM for email, and the TCPA and the National Do Not Call Registry for calls and texts.
Check each person's current job in the CSV before you email or call them
A start date is what the person's profile said when their record was read: 1,279 of the 1,301 were read between April and September 2026. Before you write, send each LinkedIn URL in the CSV through Datacircle's API. Right now we have 2 live LinkedIn profile APIs that we trust: Up2Data and HarvestAPI. You send the provider's own request to api.datacircle.dev, with your Datacircle key. That's the only change. Each request goes to the provider and gets the profile as it is today. $1.25 per 1,000 through Up2Data (a profile it can't find is free), $3.70 per 1,000 through HarvestAPI. Up2Data takes $1 a day per account (800 profiles), with a shared daily limit for all customers, then answers 429 until 00:00 UTC; HarvestAPI has no daily limit.
So the list's 1,301 people cost up to $1.63 through Up2Data over at least 2 days, up to 800 a day, or up to $4.81 at once through HarvestAPI. To run the same check every week on a list you keep, see how to track LinkedIn job changes.
What SignalHire does that Datacircle doesn't
- Contacts outside the U.S., and personal emails: it counts 900M+ profiles.
- A browser extension that shows contacts on LinkedIn, GitHub, X, Facebook and Meetup profiles.
- Search by seniority, department and open-to-work status, and email and phone lookups across outside sources in real time.
- Email sequences, and ATS and CRM integrations.

The free 10M+ file is on your dashboard once you sign up with your work email, with the $5 credit and your API key. The co-op's flat file is a separate file, new every morning. Add $50 to your account: you get $50 of API PLUS the flat file. Or invite 3 people who sign up.
Questions
Is there a free SignalHire alternative?
SignalHire's free plan gives 5 credits, or 10 a month with its browser extension installed: one contact each. Free: 10M+ U.S. B2B leads, as a flat file. Download it at datacircle.dev. Its 9,521,154 people and 1,748,139 companies are U.S.; 4,016,020 of the people have a mobile phone and 2,790,286 an email.
How much does SignalHire cost?
Its pricing page, in October 2026, billed monthly: Emails $49 for 600 credits a month, $69 for 1,000, $79 unlimited; Phones, or Emails & Phones, $49 for 300, $69 for 435, $99 unlimited. Billed yearly, Emails is $39, $57 or $63 a month for 7,200, 12,000 or unlimited credits a year, the others $39, $57 or $83 for 3,600, 5,400 or unlimited. Every plan has unlimited users.
Is SignalHire's unlimited plan unlimited?
Not in credits. Its terms (9.10) put the unlimited packages under a fair usage policy: 2,000 credits a month for all of an account's users together, and what a month leaves unused doesn't carry over. More than 2,000 credits a month takes a deal with its sales team.
Does SignalHire charge when it finds nothing?
No. Its pricing FAQ subtracts a credit when at least one email or phone comes back, and its API FAQ charges nothing for a failed item. A match through the API is charged even if its callback never reaches your server.
Does SignalHire have an API?
Yes, on the same credits as its website and extension. Its Person API takes LinkedIn URLs, emails or phone numbers, 100 a request and 600 a minute on a paid plan (5 a minute on a trial). A profile without contacts uses a separate credit, bought through its support; searches count against a daily quota shared with the website.
Does Datacircle have a Chrome extension?
No. Datacircle sells data, not a prospecting tool: no browser extension, search portal, email campaigns or dialer.
